Hola!

My name is Clara. I grew up by the Mediterranean Sea in Spain, surrounded by orange, carob and olive trees.

As a freelance interior designer working alongside various studios to oversee and implement design projects, I have been fortunate enough to come into contact with many people who have inspired and influenced me. 

I studied Business but in my late twenties, I discovered my big passion: Design. I followed the Interior Design course at the Marangoni and Inchbald School, London, and worked with Harriet Anstruther Studio, studioRUUF, Ennismore and MBDS, all based in London. I speak fluent Italian, English and Spanish.

Architecture, design, photography, art and psychology have garnered my attention since childhood. Traveling and living in different countries was always a part of my DNA, and I’ve spent a big part of my life in Italy, Germany, Sweden, the UK and Holland.

Over the past 10 years I have seen how fast-changing the world has become. Notions and systems are quickly outdated. We struggle to constantly adapt to our uncertain environment, which means learning, unlearning and relearning all of the time. We spend a large part of our day in front of screens, detached from nature, light and our own senses, which has a huge impact on our body and emotions.

I believe that, as designers, we have the responsibility to provide spaces and objects that help the user to abate, to provide new experiences, to feel safe and protected, to enjoy daily rituals and, lastly, to take into consideration the environment.

I also believe in the slow design and the use of natural materials, in careful craftsmanship, and in building strong and lasting relationships with the people involved in every project.
